TESTIMONIALS

LUKE

I used to live a very hectic lifestyle, with a lot of drugs and crime involved. I got my first prison sentence at 17 years old and that carried on till I was 33. I was always trying to fit in with people around me and seeking affirmation of others. When I couldn't find it, I was lead down the path of taking more and more drugs. During my last prison sentence, I promised myself when I get released, I wasn't going to take drugs ever again. But after a week of being out of prison I ended up buying drugs and taking them. From my past experience, once I use I can not stop. I was in a battle with myself not to use anymore, but the obsession was so strong, I didn't know how I was going to do it. I was in fear of using again and going back to prison. After a day of being down and depressed unsure what lay ahead of me, I went to a church service on a Wednesday evening. I was sat in my seat and I was listening to the worship music being played. Suddenly it hit me and I could feel the presence of God all over my body. I started to cry from the inside. The power and the love of God that night was so overwelming. I believe God delivered me from the obsession to use alcohol and drugs. I had no idea what had happened, but from that point on, my life was never the same. I didn't know at the time about Jesus and I definitely didn't know that He was still healing people today like me. But something was different and each week I was attending the local church service. After a few months I finally received Jesus as my Lord and Savour and started building my own relationship with Jesus, I wasn't afraid anymore. I knew He loved me, He died on the cross for me and He wasn't expecting me to be perfect but wanted me to come to Him as I was, because it's His love that changes us. Today I am years clean from alcohol and drugs, I give all the glory to God for the life I have now and for my salvation.

Being fostered, then adopted by the age of 5, I grew up feeling different. I was searching for a love that I now know, only Jesus can give. I tried filling that hole inside me with relationships, shopping, alcohol then drugs. The drugs led to crime, prison and insanity. I repeated these things for many years, until I came to a place of devastation and desperation. I cried out to The Lord to help me. But this time I meant it. The Lord lifted me up out of a dark, lonely pit. It took a few years for my heart to soften, as it had become so hard over time. I gave my life to Jesus and started building a relationship with Him. I am now a woman of God, a wife and a mother. I have love, peace and joy in my heart. I don't deserve any of this, but still He loves me and blesses me. Thank you Jesus.

THE SIMPLE GOSPEL

Heaven and hell is a real place. When we die, death is not the end. We cannot buy our way into heaven with our good works and deeds. You see, the bible tells us that our righteousness is like filthy rags to God (Isaiah 64:6).
The bible also tells us that we have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). So you can see that we cannot earn our salvation. It is by grace you can be saved, through faith and not that of yourselves. It is a gift from God and not our works (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Christianity is all about what God has done and nothing that we can do. For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son. Whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
If you are reading this today and you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, the bible tells us we do not know what will happen tomorrow. Our lives are like a vapor, that appears for a little time, then vanishes away (James 4:14). So today is the day of salvation. We can receive the good news that there is a God out there who loves you.
Jesus lived a life without sin and He went on the cross for you. He died for you and on the third day, He rose again from the tomb and conquered death. If you confess with your mouth The Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9).Everyone who calls on the name of The Lord will be saved (Acts 2:21).

So while you still have breath in your lungs, you have a decision to make. Are you going to repent, turn from your sin and call upon the name of Jesus? Are you going to heaven when you die or are you going to spend eternity in hell?
